Alabama Veterans Affairs Association Annual Conferences The Alabama Veterans Affairs Association sponsors training conferences and workshops for their members on an ongoing basis. The conferences are usually three day affairs with information from various agencies and groups that are important to the duties of VA Certifying Officials. These usually include representatives from VA Central Office, the Atlanta VA Regional Processing Office, the Montgomery VA Outreach Unit, the Montgomery VA Vocational Rehab Office, the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs, the Alabama State Approving Agency, the Alabama Air and Army National Guard, the Army Reserve, along with presentations by experienced school certifying officials. As soon as one meeting is over, planning for the next begins and the Board of Directors spends a large amount of thier time insuring that each certifying official will get the best training possible during these workshops.
